Process
What to expect, in order
The same six steps on a bedroom and on a whole house.
Painting is planned work, so most of what matters happens before and after the days with a brush in hand. Here is the order, and who is on site at each step.
Six steps
From first call to handover
- 01
Step 1: Your message
Tell us the address, the rooms and who else is on the project. A project lead replies in office hours.
- 02
Step 2: Walkthrough
The lead walks every surface, notes repairs, asks about colors and sheens, and tells you what is outside our work.
- 03
Step 3: Written proposal
Surfaces, preparation, coats, products, sheens, schedule and exclusions. You can read it against the drawings.
- 04
Step 4: Sample board
Colors are put on a board or on the wall and looked at in the room's own light. Nothing is ordered before you approve them.
- 05
Step 5: The work
Protection goes down, repairs are made, surfaces are primed and sanded and the finish coats go on. The lead is on site each day.
- 06
Step 6: Handover
A walk-through with you, a touch-up list, and a final clean.

Questions
About the process
How long will it take?
We give day ranges in the proposal, by room or by area. We don't promise a date before the walkthrough.
What is not in the proposal?
Repairs found only once a surface is opened, and colors added after the sample board is approved. Both are written up before work continues.
Who is on site each day?
A named lead and the crew for that area. The lead's number is on your proposal.
Start with a walkthrough
Tell us about the house and we will set a time.
